What is BUILDTRUST® ?

"BUILDTRUST®" is a meticulously crafted framework aimed at setting a high standard of quality in the built environment. It achieves this by rigorously measuring constructed works against precise workmanship standards and specifications, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence. Additionally, BUILDTRUST® facilitates a systematic approach to quality assessment that is both cost-effective and time-efficient, showcasing its innovative nature.

At its core, BUILDTRUST® functions as an autonomous assessment framework. It is emphasized that unless explicitly stated in the building contract, BUILDTRUST® should not be solely relied upon by project engineers or architects to determine the acceptability of a building or its individual components. This highlights the impartiality and independence of the BuildTrust® assessment process.

Why is BUILDTRUST® important?

BUILDTRUST® is a construction quality assessment scheme developed by MBAS in consultation with the Building & Construction Authority (BCA) and various Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs) within the built environment. It is designed to enhance the standards of both landed properties and micro projects. The BUILDTRUST® scheme prioritises the establishment of essential standards for landed residential properties and micro projects, introducing a standardised grading process to evaluate construction quality in these homes.

Objectives of BUILDTRUST®

  1. Standardise Construction Quality
  2. Minimise Disputes
  3. Recognise Exceptional Builders
